Welcome to Solarity, The Global Solar Charity, dedicated to providing affordable and reliable solar powered products for the developing world.

The Charity focuses primarily on improving the health and safety of adults & children in the developing world, and at the same time also ensuring that the environment is preserved.

To achieve these objectives, the charity supplies and distributes products that;

Improve the lives of the most disadvantaged people and families in developing nations, and raises the standard of living of others.
Tackle risk of injury, death or ill-health.
Help reduce pollution.
Bring major benefits to developing countries.

As well over 90% of families in the developing world have either no or very limited access to electricity, or they just can’t afford it, the charity’s main focus is on providing affordable Solar Lamps.

In the developing world most homes, hospitals, schools, orphanages, organisations and commercial business are forced into using paraffin lighting. A few can afford electricity generators, but not many. High global increases in the cost of paraffin and candles coupled with very high rises in basic foodstuffs means that many families can no longer afford paraffin or candles.

The Solar lamps provided by the charity will give millions of families longer lasting light in their homes and you can support us by making a donation or purchasing a Lamp.
